Default 'Nother CEL issue

Just reposting in case the post gets locked. Like I said.. P0420. Didn't come with any other code number.. but this is the "official" discription.
Catalyst system Efficiency Below Threshold Malfunctioning or defective catalyst system

Now.. if my cat were busted.. wouldn't I be able to tell?

Aaaand.. could this have ANYthing to do with the fact I just got my ignition coil replaced?

Could be that the Cat is bad and you need to replace it. That's common for our cars.

no, not really. It changes the composition of the exhaust so that it is more "environmentally friendly". It has very specific regulations that it has to follow so you may not notice a difference, but it's not doing its job and filtering like it's supposed to.

Make more sense?

MY CEL has also come on, but I can't seem to find the jumper that I need to put the paper clip in. I have a 98 civic. If anyone could give me a site that shows where it is, or perhaps take a picure, I would be most grateful.
