drove the car today, and i noticed it isnt boost 5psi. i also think the vacuum isnt all that great either...its around 9. boost guage is reading 3-3.5 psi.

i made sure my pipes are still together, and they are. what should i check next?

 

Check for leaks in piping and hose connectors. Then check boost gauge vacuum tubing.

 

take some starting fluid and start spraying areas of vaccum hoses and when you here the engine rev higher thats the spot you need to look at.

 

i checked the piping, and made sure all the Ts are still together.

i was thinking just now, that the hose that i bought, might not be stiff enough, and is weaking out, and pinching the hose with the force of the vacuum..maybe..dunno...hmmmm

I have 18-22 at idle on old Autometer gauge; the new one is yet to be determined

 

yeah, mine was around 20 also..but its only at 9

 

When it gets hot out, I boost less. Sounds like a vacuum leak to me though.

 

what kinda hose connectors? There are some sub-standard ones out there.

I was putting my roommates new fmic on his saab with him yesterday, and there was a major leak... Turns out we forgot to switch out the pipe that had the water injection bung on it. Oops. h:
