My hood needs a repaint.. too many lil white chips everywhere.. I rly only like cf hoods on tegs and s2k... not so much the civics... but maybe i could try it for awhile... what ya'll think? would it look good on my color?? i would rly only do it for the look and not the function... and what are my options for securing it down? i'd want one with a full skeleton, which i can get for around 300 np (my shop can get them from another shop at there cost that they retail at 500 cause we're doing wheels for them)

 

i'd say go for it...if it sucks, you can always sell it. and it'll definitely look good with the car.

I have a VIS carbon fiber hood (rolled egdes w/ skeleton) i also have Sparco hood pins but you don't really need it because VIS fits perfectly and you won't have a problem w/ it flying off your car

CF Hoods are light, that's why people use hood pins, regardless of their structure.

 

yeah, but mine nevers moves even going 90 in super high winds (through palm springs) so i'm not worried about it anymore.

i say get it.. if you dont like it you CAN sell it.. OR paint it.. id definately tie it down with some hod pins just to be safe..

 

buy cf hood, paint it to match body

 

if i was gonna paint it to match, i would just repaint my current hood... like i said the only reason to get CF is for the look.. not the function... hmm... thx for your input guys :thumbup:

Someday I might get a cf or fiberglass hood and pait it to match. I used to like the cf look alot, but now I just wanna look stock.
