hi everyone,
have a ? regarding timing, how do you know if your timing is off? and how do i go about checking this? my 97accord 2.2 is backfiring and its nothing ignition wise, ive changed and checked everything (plugs,cap,rotor,coil,dist, etc) jus wana know what are sum of the symptoms of bad timing and how i can go bout fixing this.

Bust out a timing gun.

 

more of this, theres two markers on mine, theres a TDC and timing marker. we hooked up the timing gun and the TDC lined up. does this mean that the timing marker will line up perfectly too? (timing a TDC requires you to jump plug or something right? )
