Lowered my del sol but its too low now.. What happened?
I purchased a set of Dropzone coilovers with tokico blue shocks to lower my 93 Si. All went well except for the fact that even at the highest setting the car is dropped about 4 inches. What happened? Did I order the wrong shocks or what? Any suggestions or input is apprecaited. If I purchased the incorrect shocks do you guys have any reccomendations on how to fix my problem?
thanks,
thanks,
yes.. Here is exactly what happened. I uncompressed the shock spring/shock combo, removed. I then installed the new coilover with all hardware compressed it installed them all at full ride height. The back still has about 2 inches of adjustment but the front is on its max setting just about and is about 4" lower. Is it possible that the shcok is the wrong one? I think that the actual shock tower itself is smaller than oem. If i buy another shock will this fix the problem?

umm id say check and make sure u put the coil sleeves in correctly, some go on the bottom in weird ways, the springs shouldnt be nearly as long as ur stock ones, they are alot smaller, did u get the correct ones for ur car? if they are supposed to be take them back and say "ur sh!t doesnt work"
i'd say your problem is they're dropzones. you bought a cheaper 'replica' sort brand and now your getting what you paid for. i have friends who have been screwed by them in too many ways, ex: broken sleeves in the matter of days, incredibly bouncy. im with crxb16er, throw that ish back and demand satisfaction. then buy yourself some ground controls or skunk2's
Dropzone coilovers are cheap POS's ment to be sold to people who actually want their cars to be the height that we consider too low.
