Default 1998 honda civic starting to lean to much to drivers side?

1998 honda civic starting to lean to much on front drivers side? Ok so at first I thought it was pretty cool for my car to have a lean on it just like the driver but now its just too much... hehe.. Any guess as to what could be the problem? I havent installed anything nor done anything to the car.. I guess its just to many bumps and sharp turns... Could this be a strut? A spring possibly going bad? Its very noticeable and seems to be progressing more and more... Will take her in if its nothing I can fix on it... Please reply

Its more than likely your strut/shock how many miles on it?

Just hit 140,000.. Other side seems fine... Well I guess ill replace the strut when I replace my cv shaft.. Looks like the boot is about to blow... Atleast the strut looks like its a do it yourself job.. Thanks

you will need the tool to compress the spring so you can remove the strut. Does it make any kind of crunching or rubbing sound when you hit bumps on that side? They do just go bad sometimes and just cause one is good does not mean they are all good.

Well doesnt make any noticeable sounds all the time.. Although sometimes I can go through a little dip in the road and I hear a spring noise as if someone just thumped a small spring.. IN this case its a large spring but that is the only sound I have heard from the car.. Can I just buy the entire strut and have the spring already compressed on it? What if i jack up the car to release the tension on spring? Will all the tension be released on spring then or does it still have some c ompression?

Spring compressor is the only way to do it. On the back, maybe you can get by without one but on the front, you need one. Autozone lend it to me for free, otherwise its like $40. You should do both front struts while you're at it.

Edit: you dont need the the compressor to remove the spring/strut assembly from the car, you need it to separate the spring from the strut.
