b20 !?!
I have gotten a little distracted from my origional plans for the car because of my obsession with making my car fast (still dont have a license). was going to be all show, but now i want to be able to beat stock domestic v8's. Im close, but about a car length from smokin them.
Has anybody in here had firsthand/personal expierence with a b20 crvtec in a sol?
I have a 94 dohc b16a3 with (very pampered, all maintenance done religously- 80k) - intakte, rims, catback...and i can pick up a b20 block for like $550. Just trying to get an idea or opinions. This wouldnt be my first swap, but it would be my first hybrid/headswap, and any engine work on a sol. This is what i have in plans right now... any input would be greatly appreciated.
Take head off b16, and set aside. take b20 oil pan off and clean out and inspect oil pump and internals make sure its safe. Then install the head on the block.
parts im planing on using
b20 block
B20 blockguard
Oil Feedline kit
b16a3 head
b20 headgasket
t-belt/w-pump/valve adjust with swap
centerforce stage 2 clutch
lightened flywheel ... if budget permits.
Keeping stock b16a3:
ecu, intake, head, exhaust manifold, tranny,
Anybody think im missing anything vital for a daily driver ?

Uhhh, well i dont
I have a work permit, so i can drive to work and back, but thats about it. thats why i am so nuts about working on my car. i have nothing else to do cause ive allready tired out the rides i used to get from my friends. Keeps me outa troubble too.
ps : anybody have thoughts on MSD SCI ... i got a killer deal on it of a re-poed car. Dont know if i will use it tho.

You'd want to use the b16 head gasket, but honestly, you should post this in engine tech... If you plan on doing this swap, there are some things to be aware of. Also check out www.crvtec.(can't remember if it's com, net or org....)
