mother ****er broke down on me tonight...and wasted the rest trying to get it home. on the expressway, i was doing about 90mph, then the RPMs start jumping like crazy, im like WTF. then the CEL comes on, then the car shuts off. so i pulled over, car is really hard to start. finally turns on, i get going, it starts to bogout, then shuts off again...and blah blah blah, happens two more times, b4 i called it quits b4 making it to a gas station. had my bestfriend go home and pick up the trailer, and get my shiit trailer home...


im guessing is the distributor. im not getting any spark from what i could see. i replaced half the distributor a couple months ago, rotor, cap, coil....

 

sounds like a fuel transfer problem

 

fuel pump might be shot.

 

to check, what do i do? listen for it to turn on?

 

i'd say distributor too...


it's a disease with the 5th gens.

 

im going to get out there and open it up in a little bit, hope its that...and nothing else.

I was told fuel pumps never go on the 5th gens? Honda told me this but I think it's pure BS.

 

probably if conservatively ran in stock form.. if you go bigger engine and boost, u better upgrade the pump lol

id say check your fuses cause i had that problem too id roll start it and it would jsut keep shutting down, so i chcked everything and nothing was wrong and i looked under the dash and finally found a blowen out fuse and relpaced it cost me a buck and some change....
