94-01 Teg Shifter in 96+ Civic???

I've heard before, (I think), that putting a 94-01 Integra shifter in a Civic gives for a smoother feel, somewhere in between the stock Civic shifter and a short throw. Is this true and does it bolt right up? Thanks.

The integra shifter won't fit in the civic linkage.

My buddy put his short shifter from his 6th Gen. Si into his 99 GS-R, added a couple washers and it worked great. So, I donno what he did?

in order to fit a stock gsr shifter in a civic, u need to grind down the piece that the bolt goes thru to hook up to the linkage. i had to grind down bout half inch i believe and then pull the bearings out of my stock civic shifter and put em in, inorder to use the shifter. cuz the gsr linkage is different then that of a civic, so u need to grind down the gsr shifter to fit.

Yeah, you can use ingenuity. Or just order the right part.
