Default ok, vtec controller help. please

I recently purchased a different civic with a d16z6 swap already done, thing is, it's a 96 dx with no stock vtec wiring.

So here is the question…
I plan to improve the performance like all of us i/h/e, injectors, etc...

What would be smarter to get, an aftermarket vtec controller or a plug in wire harness from rywire? Will the aftermarket work without the other?

please dont flame me, im new and in the dark on this one
thanks

rather than flame you i'm just gonna tell you to save all your money.

Your not going to gain jack shit over I/H/E unless your motor is built with higher compression & smoothed out to flow more air. No need for bigger injectors unless you need more fuel to compensate for additional air flow.

As far as the vtec controller, the heck with that it's at an optimal engaugement point for a stock motor. If you mod things later, then just chip the computer for 20 bux & it can then be tuned and that will come out way better than any vtec controller.

Read up, theres tons of information on this forum.
