ex max boost?
anybody know why a stock honda ex can run higher boost than regular please explain to me if you can why honda cant boost past 6psi with stock internals... ive herd of a daily driven 13 psi d16y8 that has nothing but a head gasket to lower compression as far as internals go. how is this possible 10 psi sounds high to me?
Because the turbos are smaller. 6psi on a small turbo doesn't makes as much power as 6psi on a big turbo.
By tuning the engine then you can run as much boost as the tuning can handle.
but ive heard that honda's b/c of there stock comp. ratio can run a larger boost????? not true?
probly depends on the engine.

compression ratio on an EX motor is 9.3:1 so i read...the b16a2 is 10.2:1, im gonna be boosting the 10.2:1 on a t25(eclipse) turbo setup. ill have no problem w/ that.

D16y8 is 9.6:1
