Hellz yeah, i fixed my A/C!!!
5 years later, my A/c works!
Got a new AC compressor, new expansion valve, new evaporator, new o-rings, removed every AC component and line, Flushed and blew them out, added new bits, and Finally this morning dropped it off for an evacuation and recharge.
Hell yeah, now i can drive my black EX comfortably under the horrible Texas sun. Its been over 100degrees here lately.
next project... repaint my front bumper
and eventually
i'd like to get a white civic sedan and put a B16 in that biotch.

i think you are referring to remy because i dont understand what 'committing to you' means myself...
So anywho, i got a slight concern about my AC and its effect on my d-series.
I know its going to rob me of HP and so on, but when the AC is on, the engine shakes like a paint mixer! When off, seems smooth as usual. Would this mean maybe the AC belt is too tight? Any thoughts about this? The compressor was brand new. Not a sanden unfortunately.

The idle should compensate to some degree when you turn on the A/C(or adjust air&fuel to maintain proper idle), not that extra vibration through the steering wheel and shifter aren't normal. If you turn off the A/C and the revs go up just a bit for a moment, I believe that indicates that the air-control valve is compensating like it should.
