Default 1997 Civic DX Hatchback need help

I have a 1997 civic DX hatchback, i just got some subwoofers amp and wiring for free. (a buddy gave it to me after his car was totalled) he said he doesnt know how to isntall it so i was wondering if you guys can help me out here, i know which wire goes where i just dont know how to run it from my trunk to my headunit in his previous car it was through the plastic railing under doors but the hatchback plastic looks like one unit and its harder. If anyone can help it would be greatly appriciated.

If you're talking about the plastic piece that goes around the doorwell, under which your carpet goes, you can take that off pretty easily. If the ek is anything like the eg, you could just rip it off. Its held on there by clips. The rest will go behind the kick panel and into the unit, and you can remove the rear seal to run it to the back.

I was wondering this too. I've noticed that I can take those pieces off quite easily, but I couldn't find a good way to reattach them. What am I missing?

It just depends on how clean you want to make it. I have my wires running from the speakers down through the seat, through the carpet and to the head unit. Just make sure to run the wire through the speaker grill and try to fish it out. Shouldnt be that long or hard.

besides the screws...the radio if it is aftermarket usually has an outer metal piece...also called the bracket...that helps to also keep the radio in place!!

try messing with that!
