b-series distributers.....
 
are all b-series distributors (obd1) the same?? i need one for my b16a (2nd gen) but all im finding are b18b and b18c1 distributors. will they fit my motor??

b18c is the same as a b16a but the b18b is different.

just make sure the b16 is obd1..same thing for the gsr one...

:cool: that was quick :D so vtec b-series distribs are the same, assuming they have the same obd gen

Yes, make sure you get the right OBD... you could use your old dist, but modification is neccesary, and I think you'd be better off with a replacement.

yes yo can use your old dis, but i wont do it, so i wont recommend it to anyone, ive seen it done, car doesnt run that good.

Man what a bunch of bull**** information I see here. The 1st gen B16A distributor is a JDM part only. The 92+ B16A's are all interchangable and the GSR dist will not work on a 1st gen B16A. OBD has nothing to do with it. I am pretty sure it won't work on 92+ B16A either but I will check. The B18B's dist. will not work on a B16A. I could go one and on about which cars distributors fit anothers but that's for another post. If you get a 1st gen B16A with a broken distributor it sucks, I know first hand.

Oh, so you think they will fit? Then go ahead and try it. These guys are the ones throwing out bull**** info. I currently own three B16A's so I think I should know. I was given a MSD cap and blaster coil and I tried to slap it on my Civic and it would not fit.
