turning crankshaft?

Default turning crankshaft?

I was trying to adjust my valves in my SOHC civic
anyone know how to turn the crankshaft so I can adjust it?

17mm socket on the crank pulley. Always rotate counter-clockwise. Take your plugs out and it'll be easier to turnt he crank by hand.

-jack up the car
-remove the driver side wheel
-take out spark plugs (u dont wanna fight compression)
-turn crank pulley with 17mm socket
-good luck

It also helps to take the plastic cowling off that goes across the underside of your car. Otherwise you have to stick it through the hole in the cowling.

There happens to be a convient hole right where the crank pulley bolt is and your stock tire iron fits in there nicely and fits the bolt. Just turn your wheels to the left and go to town!
