you know you dont need to prime if you havent sanded to metal...all you have to do is rough up the paint wiht an SOS pad.

i wanna paint my car and i kinda dont ...

i rather have the car primed up, i have spots that are down to the metal....i want the car to be sealed nicely, the car has been painted in a couple spots(not the whole car) and i wanted to get all that old crappy primer off.

if i dont prime the car and just go ahead and paint it, i might have missed a couple dings which i doubt i did, but then i would need to and it down and do it again..theres no point

as for as helping you out, yeah, primer does help a lot, taking the sheen away from the body makes it hella easier to see the mess. it isnt necessary for sticking paint though, thats all.

true...after i sanded down the car w/ a DA w 180 grit, you cant see any dings and what not, i gotta go down there and pull a dent then it will be ready to prime up later today.
