Falken Ziex ZE912 tires
I just wanted to write up a lil review on these tires. Just to let u guys know these are ultra high performance all season tires and come in all different sizes.
The setup I have is on a 95 civic sedan. I was running oem 13's on this car and the treads are almost gone (great ride comfort and low road noise). So i decided to go up in size of rims and tires. Went up to 17in enkei or52 + falken ze 512 (prior version of the new 912) and had the best gripping performance i ever had. Then the 17's were really dragging my fuel economy down, harsh ride, and lots of road noise. Found this out when i got a new job and have to drive all highway 80mi both ways so i decided to downsize and go with 15 instead.
The new setup is to go lightweight wheels that i can afford so i have a packaged in 5Zigen 195/50 15 + falken ze912 and i am very pleased with them. Only have them for about 2 days and still in the break in period, but wow i must say for performance tires these are great. Good performance, handling, comfort, and not tat bad for road noise either. But most of these days have been sunny so i haven't tried it in the rain or snow.
So i would recommend these tires to anyone looking for great value ultra high performance all season tires. Also i forgot to mention that they weight about 19.2lbs for 15in. That is probably the only down fall about these tires is they weight a lot. But rotating these tires is easy unlike the ze512 which are directional, these are asymmetric.
I hope this might help sum who are looking for new all season tires.

ah... I didn't know they were asymmetric. That helps. I was going to get the same tires, but ended up getting some 99 Si rims with 205/55/15's on them. I forget what brand of tire, but they're LOUD as hell.
I think the 205/55 is too tall, but after all the rain we've been having, potholes are all OVER the place. I think I'll get the Falken 195/55/15's for the summer and spring, and put the 205's back on for winter driving.

I've had them in the same size since November and they are not that great with any bit of snow. Not horrible but definitely not snow tires or even close to my Toyo Proxes 4s I had couple of years ago.
Just gotta drive carefully with the 912s in snow or ice. I was going to put on my snow tires this year but never got around to purchasing steelies for them.

After driving with them for about 3wks or so and been hit with a couple of snow storms in the bos area these can be driven in light snow but not with snow more than 2inchs
but these tires perform were well in the rain though.
Eh Toyos Proxes 4 slightly better than the 912s but not by much. If you live anywhere where you get snow just get some dedicated wheels with snow tires. You will not regret it. I put them on in November and take them off around late March.
I had Nokian Hakkapelitta 2s 2 years ago and I was unstoppable in the snow with my 00 Civic Si. They were amazing. I actually just purchased a set of Hankook WinterBears that went on sale at Discount Tire Direct for 4 tires for $100 with free shipping. They are still sitting in my garage. I think my next set will have some Ecostuds too for those icy days.
