Are All 92-95 HB's Created Equal?
Hey,
I just went and looked at a '93 Civic CX. Now, my question is, do the parts (ie exhaust, header, intake, etc) that are advertised to fit Civic DX and Si fit the CX model? Some of the parts I've seen are advertised to fit all HB models.. can someone please shed some light on the subject? I'm new to Hondas... Thanks a lot. |
I think it depends on the part. I don't think they share the same header for example, but other parts like springs/intake will work on any.

Yeah some parts ie the header are a two part witht eh cat up front teh DX and SI have the Cat down below, and teh CX doesn't have all the wiring a DX or SI does. Thats what i hvae figured out.

DONT put $1k worth of bolt on's into a CX PLEEEEEEASE!!!! It's not worth it! That mofo is slower then n e thing and it won't do ish for your car but make it louder and kinda fast at like 5k RPM plus (and ur stupid if you drived it that high of a RPM all the time n e ways) The only reason to get a CX is because of it's light weight. If you DO decide to get it and you don't plan to do a swap, make that bish a autoX monster. Put all yur money into the suspension and brakes. ;)

Ok, well here are the things I wanted to do to the car:
-AEM intake (they make one, right?) -Header (Who makes one, if anybody?) -Thermal Research Catback -JDM or Clear corners (havent decided yet) -Red/clear tails -Either Rota Slipstream wheels or Spoon's (depending on money situation) -Spoon front and rear STB's -Spoon mirrors (since it doesn't have a passenger mirror, is this still possible?) -Dropped on possibly Skunk2 products -Skunk2 short shifter -Spoon shift knob -Spoon carbon fibre front lip ... what do you think? If I go with a swap, what is available? And if I make it all autoX, what do you suggest I use for suspension and brakes? Thanks. |
Well, if you swap your engine, you'd be in SM (am I right?) class, which allows hybrids. Might as well go for a high-revving b-series like the B16A or B18C1/C5.

They dont make an CAI for teh cx but what u do is u Cut off the lip on the stock intake and u use that as an adapter. I can get a pic if u want.
