yeap, i finally got it

ive disconnected EVERYTHING except for the axles and mounts now; im gonna pick up a cherry picker tomms.

i got the axle end nuts off, but i cant seem to get the lower control joints out. is it absolutly necessary to use a joint puller? or can i knock it out with a mallet?

also, the rear engine mount looks like a b!tch to get to. is it best to try to remove it from the frame first or engine?

i'd post these q's in the tech forums, but noone ever goes there

 

Get a pickle fork for the ball joints and the rear mount is a pita.

 

I just did a b18 swap into my civic coupe this past weekend and the best way to get the rear mount is from underneith and you can hit the joints out with a rubber mallet.

I also found it easier to pull and install the motor from the under the car.

That is the fastest way if you have a rack. I'm not sure how you could get the car that high otherwise.

 

thanks for the tips.... so now the b16 is under the hood all the mounts are bolted in, except for the rear. for some odd reason, the stock tranny bracket has the nut welded in for the mounts bolts, but the b16 one doesnt. so the only thing i need to buy is a damn nut.
