Alignment
 
I have a 95' 2dr EX. I have Eibach Sportsline springs(about a 1.5-1.7inch drop) with Tokico Blue Shocks. I have had them for some time w/o a alignment, yeah i know bad. I am going to put shims on the rear to help with the camber in the rear. I am wanting to know if i have to buy a front adjustable camber kit in order for my car to have an alignment done. If i do have to buy the camber kit, would a honda dealer be able to do the alignment or would i have to go to a specialty shop? Any help on alignment would be great.

You don't need a camber kit on most cars. What wears tires is out of spec toe (in/out) not camber. Having out of spec toe is like pushing an eraser across the ground, whereas out of spec camber is like rolling an eraser across the ground.

Oh i see. Should a honda dealer be able to fix the toe with an alignment?

Camber still wears tires just not as fast as toe in toe out issues. But, basically because you didn't get it aligned right after you lowered the car the shop/dealer will do what it can and blame it (still wearing the shit out of your tires) on the camber.

True but with all my Civics I ran -2.5 to -3.2 camber front and -2.0 rear WITH 0 toe front and rear and my tires wore fine. Actually my one set of Azenis lasted over 40 autocrosses and 10,000 miles when I sold then with 3mm of tread left. When I sent the set back to Falken for their inspection they couldn't believe it.

Now I did rotate the tires every other event, always putting the tire with more tread on the front.

Ok and people wonder why i say people are talking out of the asses on here. You do need camber kits, on the rear you can get by with just shims and maybe longer bolts on the upper link, but i would feel better just havin the adjustable link instead, up front they make adjustable pivots the the control arms, or adjustable ball joints or adjustle control arms, there are many options for different budgets, order your parts, install them then get it aligned.
