B18c5 Wiring into a 95 ex EJ1
Ok, so i know that i am asking a repetitive question that i have read about many times on here. I am no noob to honda either, but every time i look up what i specifically need done everyone seems to be missing a few details i need. i am going to do a swap soon and wanted to get some information before i start it. i have now a EJ1 civic EX d16z6 engine. my question is i will be buying the type r obd2 engine. my car is currently running the D16z6 harness which already has vtec wiring and if im not mistaken already has a knock sensor? (am i correct in saying this) i know i will need the obd2 conversion harness so it will fit on the p73 ecu the engine comes with (its a complete engine with axles shift linkage, yada yada). Will i be keeping the D16z6 wiring harness or do i need to get a usdm type r wiring harness (since the jdm type r harness is for the right hand drive) or gs-r? i could use the help before i go out spending alot of money on this i want to get the information right the first time. thanks.!

If you haven't purchased the engine already, please stay away from the type-r engine unless you are getting a really great deal on it. You'll just be wasting your money on something that isn't worth the extra buck. I'm just looking out.

anyways. i have the hondata s300 fuel managment installed in my p28 ecu. from common knowledge (from my understanding) i can upload the p74 stock ecu setting and just diabel the knock sensor and then i should be ready to go right>
than just run your d16z6 harness. If you upload the R map to the s300 than you can also run it "obd1" which means you can run one o2 sensor as well.
