My new upgrade...
Y8 (EX) intake manifold.

For those curious
Y8 manifold swap
*edit* Oh yea. How would I go about cleaning the inside of the runners? They got some carbon build up. Also, could I sand the inside of the runners a bit to smooth it out a little? Thx.

to clean the runners, i dunno spray some engine cleaner and degreaser in there and let it sit
or soak the whole unit, without the sensors of course, in a tub for a day or so
also theres no harm in trying to smooth out the air flow just dont mess it up hehe

The intake ports on the DX head might be smaller then those in the EX intake manifold, so the airflow might be disrupted quite a bit, however I have not had the oppertunity to compair gaskets. I would be willing to bet they don't match though, and if they don't it is bad for engine performance.
The way i clean the carbon off the manfold is by unhooking the air intake and getting a spraybottel with water wile the car is running i spray the water into the intake and it will lossen up the carbon with out any harm to the engine.
