Has anyone ever made an intake?
 

I've got a 99 LX and I have some spare time this summer. A friend of mine made a pretty decent intake out of PVC piping. Has anyone done this before? It's not really worth it to put a performance intake into an LX but the prospect of making one might cure my summer boredom. Thoughts?

making a CAI sounds cool but not out of PVC..thats sounds quit gay..but whatever floats your boat..id like to see pics of that intake...please

that sounds so shitty.....there is no way I would make a intake and put that thing on my car....:ugh:

meh its not exactly a challenge to make, but for the same amount you could get a cheapo intake off of ebay that would look better then a PVC intake,and you could just buy a nice filter for it

use a metal pipe lol plastic might melt + it looks real tacky

Sure, go for it. 45 degree elbow from the intake manifold to a 1 1/2 foot long straight section with a filter on it.

it would be more like a 90 degree bend on an lx. but fuck that dude, i have one in my garage i'll let go for cheap, you'll just need to get a filter

the LX intake manifold sucks for air intakes

oh a newer LX, is that the one with the upwards facing intake?
