Default putting mesh on a lip (fiberglass)

I tried looking in the DIY section for some help, but can someone give me a few ideas on how your supposed to fasten diamond mesh to the inside of a fiberglass lip? And i'm also just talking about low grade gutter mesh from home depot or something that I can cut down and fasten to the inside.

any tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks

If you can't figure it out, it shouldn't be done

Most of the ones I have seen are fastened with fiberglass. Just get the fiberglass resin and cloth, fit your mesh grille on, put the fiberglass cloth and resin onto the grill on the insides of the bumper, make sure you cover both the grille and the bumper part and let it dry

Hmm, I guess it would, as long as it bonds to fiberglass but I don't see why it wouldn't

my blitz bumper came with little aluminum straps/flanges woven into the fiberglass, and the straps get wrapped around the diamond mesh with a needlenose pliers.

some people will sell you those 3m stick-on anchors and zipties but they will pull off under high winds or when they get wet. dont waste your time, those are made to anchor wire-wrap in computers, not cars.

with that said, i was looking for mesh a while back, cause DIAMOND MESH BITES. really. it dents with a hit from the smallest debris, paint/powder coat flakes off, and its just too thin.

i bought two 9"x38" plates of the 1/2" black powder coated monster mesh from thegrilleguy, total order was around $75 with shipping. i took it to an ornamental ironworks, and had them cut it since the bumper has 5 holes/ports + the one wide piece i needed for the upper grille. im really happy with it, it looks solid, no issues with airflow.

long story short, forget about how to attach gutter guard and get some thicker mesh. if you can't, go to a hardware store and epoxy some hasps to the inside of the bumper/lip and then use something solid to bind the hasps to the mesh. then pray you don't get hit by a dragonfly.
