Im not happy with the layout and ease of use on my 2000 civic, my 1990 accord was much easier. I would have paid for the installs if i new the trouble. Is there away to easily and somewhat neatly to route the rca cable and power line from batt/deck into the trunk? I find the trim is very hard to squeeze open, especially the thickness for the two wires. I am planning in going under the shifter then between the 2 back seats through the middle, but that might cause people to kick at the wires and rip them out. Any ideas?"

 

i routed my rca cable in the middle by the shifter more to the passenger side, just take out the passenger seat take out the side panels and push the cable in, after you put back the carpet you can hardly feel it;
my gauge 4 power wire and led on wire i routed under the side panels, very easy, its not in any way. better route signal and power wire different way so it doesnt effect sound quality. hope it helps.

 

double up on that one!! I did the same thing and you will not even see it!!

with a couple of hours of free time you should be able to route the cables from front to back!!

 

I pulled my driver side seat and my back seat. pulled up the door kick trim for better access and fed it right down the middle. I put the RCA's further to the passanger side and the power wire from the battery further to the driver's side. You DO NOT want to run them next to each other or you risk your RCA's picking up noise from the power wire.

 

my rca's run down the drivers-side, my power runs down the passenger side.

take your seats out to do it. its easier to do than it sounds.

hey man this might help ive got a 98 civic and it was fairly easy for me to run my power wire and rca cables I just ran my power cable from the battery towards the drivers side there should be a large hole in the firewall that no wires are through (or there was one on mine anyway) and pull that plug out run the wire and then zip tied it on the other side in the floor board and then unscrewed my center console ran the wires through both rca and power and then were the console stops I ran the wire underneath the carpet and under the seat to the trunk It looks clean and was fairly easy to do!!!!!

 

do it right.

seats out, wires run, seats back in in 45 mins.
