civic chips on ebay.worth it?

i was just wondering if anybody has every bought one of those $5-$20 chips off of ebay such as this one:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CIVIC...ZViewItem...do they really boost your hp that much or is it just a bunch of bullshit?

i got one, it was just a resistor, didnt make a bit of difference. it was only $2 so maybe the one that go in your ecu are better.

only one way to fine out now huh?

no. generic programmed chips just suck.

i just got it cause it was $2....which is like nothing....i wanted to see what it would do cause it will "make atleast 10 more hp, and is designed for "my" car"

does the person that make that chip know every single mod you have done? does he program it specifically for "your" engine? not likely. claims of 10hp are total bs.
