HID's

I'm thinking of getting some HID's for my 96 ek. Can anyone tell me a good reliable brand that makes them? I saw Mtec on ebay, which looked decent, can anyone confirm?
Thanx

if you do any kind of HID please do a retrofit , as the EK has a bad glare problem if you throw bulbs in the stock housing.

I saw some eg hid's on ebay would those not cause a glare? Also I found a kit for 180, and it says that they last about 3000 hours. Well what about after? Do i have to buy new HID's? Are all of them with such a lifespan, or do the good brands last more?
PS Thanx stereo

If you go cheap on HIDs, they tend to scatter....

Retrofit as stated before, is the best way to go.

Have a retrofit done, cause if you don't, then you'll have hot spots and glare. Not only that, you'll probably blind on coming traffic, and the light won't focus onto the street as good as if you had a retrofit done

They aren't faulty, they just tend to to scatter the light being projected because the housing and projectors aren't design for HID. You can use them, but it's just better to do it the right way and not blind people.

If you're set on buying aftermarket ones, go for it, there are a couple people on here with experience using aftermarket ones so you should PM one of them. First one to come into mind is Dubcac, so try contacting him about his HIDs on his integra.

EGs never came with HIDs OEM as far as I know....JDM or not....
And for 300 bucks, I'd used my OEM Headlights with an aftermarket kit. Search around for a good kit....
