what mods have done already? I wouldn't recommend the intake manifold or a header unless your going with force induction. Your engine is probably already receiving all the air it needs and is not being restrained by the exhaust manifold.

cams are good, but you're not going to get anything impressive on a stock engine. Note: This is from what I read on a previous thread on this forum. I would have quoted, but I'm too lazy to look for it.
Did you end up swapping your engine? I noticed you put up a thread about swapping. How much horsepower and torque are you generating right now? How much do you want to generate? What's your goal?

Default civic engine swap

sorry for the confusion but im thinking of swapping engines for my other car which is civic 1.5l non vtec D15B2 to a D16z6. the car that i am asking for performance mods is my civic sir2 DOHC vtec.

im just wondering what problems there might be in swaping my non vtec engine to a vtec engine. any extra wiring needed? etc.

thanks

I think you will need some extra wiring for the vtec solinoid. Seach around you should find an answer. As for mods, the only good mods for an SOHC is turbo or build+turbo. Going N/A on an SOHC won't get you much.

I believe it's green/yellow wire for the selinoid to A4 and the oil pressure black and blue wire to D6.

Yes you need convert to multi point injection and still wire the VTEC.
