Misfire or popcorn popping sound between 2-2,500 RPM
I keep getting misfire or something at 2,000-2,500 RPM. I've notice this used to happen once in a great while, but it's been occuring ne time I'm in that RPM range, full throttle or part throttle. Any ideas what it can be? I wasn't sure if this could be tranny related or not.

It's pretty strange to me how it happens at those RPMs specifically.

UPDATE!... I was going to do a compression test, and guess what I found?!
I found 3 spark plugs with the tips broken! wtf, the only 1 without the tip broken off was a spark plug I replaced after I found it with a broken tip. What causes this? my spark plugs are 1 step colder than stock. I'll post pictures, I haven't had piston to valve contact either.

In cylinder order... Left by the Distributor, right going towards the Cam . 3rd cylinder is the 1st spark plug that was replaced alone, which isn't broken, replaced about 15,000 miles ago when it was the only spark plug with a broken tip. I never expected this to happen with the rest of the pack!

wrong plug thread length...thus putting the spark plug too far into the combustion chamber and being hit by the piston....dunno its the only thing I can really think of....Try replacing them with the OEM plane jane NGK plugs and see if you have any problems with those. They are super cheap too so it cant hurt.

The thing is... the 1 good plug which I drove 15,000 miles doesn't appear to be damage, the one I had before had a broken tip. Maybe I got defective plugs in that 4 pack? I'm going to Super Autobacs right now and getting them Greddy Irridiums Spark Plugs, they're made by NGK. I can't be having this sh!t in my cylinders it's not worth it.
