heads off chipped cylinder wall

Well I have a blown head gasket on my 92 civic; it’s a d15b7 with 230,000kilometers on it. Now I’m debating if I should just replace the head gasket and put the original head back on or buy a d16z6 head and do a minime? He only thing that I’m worried about is this chip shown in the pic below
(its the first pic on top)

also check out my timing belt should i replace it?
what do u guys think?
thx

I would replace the block. That chip creates a weak spot that will probably lead to another head gasket failure in the same place.

I make it habit to replace the timing belt when doing headwork unless I know the belt is new and wasn't contaminated.

block needs replaced.. if u wanna try somethin ghetto.. JB weld!! FTW

you would have to make sure it's all perfect & smooth so that u don't jack up a ring & your head gasket seals.. but it could work..

personally i'd replace the blcok.. but if u don't have any money.. it would be worth a shot. interesting test :)

You could do something ghetto but seriously, D series engines are practically free anyway. If you want a d16z6, get the whole thing and put it in there.
