Default Help with CV Joint.

Cv boot is torn and i have shit in the u-joint! :upset: It's wonderful! replacing it tomorrow!!!!!

why not just replace the entire axle? a lot easier... i dunno what kind of engine you have but isnt autozone still holding that full warranty for life for axles? check up on that... i remember they use to have it back in the day like a year ago lol -_-

Ill try to look into it tomorrow. how involved is changing an axle, though? Im a seripus noob when it comes to drivetrain.

hey 98 ex red.. just buy complete axles... thats the easiest way. and as far as time is involved.. an hour if u know what u are doing and have the tools..

just take the wheels off.. axle nut.. take axle out of tranny.. put in new one.. n everything back together and your done.. off and drivin again

1 hour with the right tools... takes me 30 minutesh: and u sound redudant didnt i just mention that lol

but good lookin out though... and yes do check out autozone for that warranty setup i mentioned... i dunno if they still have that

Trust me, it can be worse.

I have been through 3 axles on each side and my current ones are now slinging grease all over the place and shaking. I am going to finally do it right and get some upgraded axles.

Changing them is easy. Check out Jafro's 15 minute axle replacement DIY. It is a great walkthrough for your first time.

Alright, thanks alot. Yeah, it makes some noise when i turn the wheel all the way to the stop clockwise.
