Ok.. I get it. The resistors need to be removed. Just solder the wire back on. What's the best way to remove RP17 and RP18?

Cut out RP17 and RP18 completely and then desolder the holes of RP18 and run a jumper wire.

Meaning solder it, right? I can solder, just wanted to know if there was a specific kind to get it right.

Right, you will have to solder it. Any thin rosin core solder and a fine tipped soldering iron will do the trick.

Actually, you dont have to put a jumper wire on RP18, it will work without, and wont have resistance... I have personally done this, same outcome both ways, and easier to leave it alone, less chances of harming the ECU.

I guess there's no harm in NOT putting the jumper and firing up the car. Thanks for the suggestion.
