5th and Reverse?????????

For some reason my car wont allow me to put the shifter into 5th or Reverse??? It goes in all the other gears perfect, could this be due to the new shift linkage???? maybe I hooked something up incorrectly??? Thanks

check to make sure it's not bent in some way that is allowing you to not turn the thing far enough to get to that side of the tranny.
