Default Need Help On Rebuild and What Parts to Use

Hey guys,

I have a D16Z6 in my del sol. I was thinking about swapping it but these days all B16 and B18 are WAY TOOOO OVERPRICED. So I am just going to rebuild with a higher compression ratio. I am wondering what the best setup would be for the rebuild. What exact parts would be best. The D16Z6 has 118K miles with no leaks and is extremely clean. So tell me what rods, rings, etc...u would use if you were rebuilding.

1d series motor are pointless NA. i personally would turbo it. if you want it to be anywhere around 250-300, youll need forged internals. id recommend tuner toys or eagle rods, and wiseco pistons. wiseco pistons come with rings, etc so no need to worry.
but in all actuallity, no mater what people say, youll eventually want a b-series, unless u are a sohc fanatic. im more of a power fanatic, thats why i bought a b18b and will be building it for high boost.

Then what about a B16A 1st generation. Will it work in my 93 del sol ??? Because the difference between 1st and 2nd generation is like $1,200

i just built a d16z6 motor for boost, heres my list of parts, but obviously if u wanna go all motor your comp ratio would be higher:

acl bearings
eagle 4340 h beam rods
srp/je pistons came with rings
arp bolts where available
cometic gasket, all rest gaskets were honda
crower cam, springs, retainers, valves
-also replaced water pump, oil pump, timing belt

also u will need to throw in the cost of some machine shop time

I've been looking, b16's came down about 300$ since I bought mine in april, and b doesn't just mean a vtec motor. Do what raiden said and get a b18b, nice torque and nice HP for a 500-700$ motor. And boost the living hell out of it.
