Do i need to pull the halfshalft to pull the tranny out?
Well, Everything's pretty much ready to go, I was just wondering if I need to take out the half shaft to get the tranny off.
refer to WCS's write up that's in the sticky area or follow these instructions!.
1. remove 32mm axle nut in the center of your hub assembly
2. pound center of axle out of the center of the hub assembly without destroying the threds!
3. remove lower control arm nut (pull cotter pin first)
4. use pickle forke to pop assembly up
5. swing entire assembly out of the way while u remove axle from hub assembly
6. take screw driver & slide between tranny & axle bulge, tap until u see axle pop out a lil bit.
7. slide axle out!

I know I took both axles off, but its the half shaft, aka intermediate shaft. The thing inbetween the drivers side axle and the tranny, Does that just pop out too?>
There are three bolts that connect it to the block. Remove these and then pop the halfshaft out. Theoretically, you could remove the tranny without pulling the halfshaft as long as you remove those bolts first.
