My 92 civic with a b16 in it is surging at idle. It goes from 1k to 1500 and sometimes down to 500. I changed the ecu bc the guy i bought it from told me it was the ecu, but hes a moron. So weve estabilshed it was the Idle Air Control Valve, and i called honda and they had one in stock for 180 bucks!!!!!!
Anywho, since i have a b16 in my car, do i need a iacv from a b16 or just from any civic 92-95? Anyone got a used one? Or know somewhere i can get one for cheap. Im not paying dealer prices!!!! Thanks!

if you have a b16 than im guessing you would need a b16 iacv.. but did you try cleaning it instead of replacing it? also, does your idle jump fast or slow?

 

its pretty quick, how would i clean it anyway!?

 

any obd1 iacv will work. Just clean yours with brake cleaner and you'll be good to go
