the title says it all, could having the wires in the wrong place have something to do with this?

yes having the wires in the wrong place would do that. Off timing would also cause misfire and have the car stall. Check your wires if its your wires check timing

alright now it takes a while to start and when it starts it sounds like shit.. the engine also shakes a little

i also jus switched from ractive wires back to oem.. i took out my plugs an there was black shit on them but it wasnt burnt it wiped right off..

it doesnt seem like its the wires.. so how do i check my timing (n00b question ) but would the timing effect the engine when its running? and if it is running and only the 4th cylinder isnt, would that act different if say the 2nd or 3rd cylinder wasnt running since they are in the middle?
