NEED HELP on 88 civic heater motor relay
First post hello,
I have an 88 civic 1.5 hatchback and the blower motor is not working. I think its a relay problem. I have checked the switch and it is functional. I am not getting any current to the fuse for the heater blower motor from the fuse box so i think its a relay. Where would it be and what else should I be checking? Thanks Scott |

ok
the fuse box blower motor should be hot with key on, without being there to check i suggest you run a link from a key on only hot low priority fuse (blinkers or xxxxxxx) and see if it works. again. i have no more diagrams to look at so i am thinking real hard here but i think blower fuse channels off a key on condition always. is there anything else that seems not to work?

I don't have access to any ETM's or schematics. It's going to be poor mans troubleshooting. I don't know what components share the circuit power or ground.
Once, with a schematic, I deduced that a dim right side headlight in a geo metro was caused by a blown fuse simply by noticing that the highbeam indicator did not come on when you turned the highbeams on. |
i thought i posted a reply yesterday on this. anyway, apply power to the fuse and try again.

I believe I read this thread in another section. I also suggested supplying power to the fuse.

Thanks guys for posting. I did post this on the pre 92 section because i thought this thread should be there thats why i havent answered on this thread again.
I have tried all the suggestions and nothing worked so i think i will have to take it somewhere. Thanks again for your posts Scott |
