Default B Series Throttle body on Civic??

My friend has offered to sell me his GSR throttle body for a cheap price. What are the advantages of putting a B series throttle body on a civic (d16z6)?? If there are advantages, is this the one to buy or should i get one from a different model. Please help

only suck what sucks. You would have better responce from a direct filter to tb than enlarging the tb. you run into the manifold pressure is still manifod pressure, work with that to fatten any increase.

Do you have a high performance cam in that engine? if not, you're going to lose intake air velocity, and end up losing horsepower.

the B series TB is bigger, more air is good. the advantage would be if you build that motor you could have the B series TB bored and be cool like that.

man, I'm starting to dislike you....
bad information all over the place.

Any B series TB, even H22 tb's fit. It will give you slightly better throttle response. Any other power you add will be helped sllightly by adding the tb. It's basically the difference between old and new spark plug wires. Nothing drastic, but it's noticeable. even if it is just for throttle response.
