Default question about pedals

i bought a 96 hatch DX, and the clutch pedal seems fine but the catch point in the clutch is almost at the top. any ideas?is there anyway to adjust the pedal so it catches like midway?

my gas pedal is really hard too, i cleaned the spring on the throttle body and stuff, and its still the same, my friend has the same car and he said it was no where near that stiff.

the only thing that works really nice is the brake pedal

Well the clutch is just getting worn down is all. Nuttin you can do about that except install a new one cause we got hydro clutches, not cable. I don't know about the gas pedal... maybe the spring on the pedal?

Another thing just popped in...
How old is the clutch? If it was recently done then maybe the tech didn't bleed the system right. And my 95's clutch was almost at the top but it didn't slip ever.
