Default Smog question

Hey guys, I have a 95 civic with a 97 B18c1 and its time for me to smog the car (test only). Will my car past smog?? Some people have told me that it wont pass, but is it true. Any feedback is appreciated

If you are running the GSR catalytic converter and the engine is registered with the DMV, you shouldn't have any problems.

Im still running the EX cat. I didnt know you had to register the engine with the DMV.

unless you did a OBD2 conversion with the B18c1 using the 97 P72 Ecu I would say no way! or at lest not in cali . so unless you can pass it off to the referee as a 95 GSR motor..

You need to run the catalytic converter for the engine that you have in. The reason you have to get the engine registered is because of engine theft.

I am not completely sure that you have to get it registered with the DMV to pass smog, though.

The engine should pass since it is a newer year OBD2.
