Default Ok, well I went to the Honda dealership.

They pretty much did the whole service manual thing, then told me there's nothing more they can do with out hours of work and testing on figuring out why my vtec isn't working. I'm going to go to a scrap yard today and pick up a new vtec selinoid connector (harness side), new oil pressure sensor connector {harness side}, and a p30 ecu. What car's can I pull the ECU and connectors from, anything B?

It's gotta be my ecu. I used parts from the jdm harness on the one i got now to redo the wires, the guy at the scrap yard was a dick so just said fuck it and left. So I need an ECU.....damn.

The guy xeroxed me the pages from the service manual for my motor. Near the last steps it says check the vetec selinoid valve connector harness side for continuity with the ground, if it has continuity repair the wire, but I did an end to end continuity check on the wire im using, soldered and heat shrunk the wire and it has continuty so there isn't a short. Bah I'm on my last limb here.

That wouldn't cause the CEL 21 code to flash though I don't think.

First things first. Okay, do you have an check engine light on? Have you read any streaming data from the ecu?

I've read the codes, I don't know aboot streaming data. 21 of course, vtec selinoid valve. All the connections have continuity, i have good oil pressure, but maybe i didnt say it in this thread, prolly another, my ecu wont wipe the code off when I reset it. So it shouldnt pop the code untill Im supposed to hit vtec, the code just doesnt go away. Maybe I'll take the valve off and check it and the filter too. The guy at the dealership said it's prolly my ecu.
