Same sh*t happend to me. My boot ripped recently.. Since I had to replace the axel I might as well do a motor swap... Just waiting on the parts now... :irock:

 

let me share a little secret, those axels dont break everyday under stock loads. ripped or not, knocking or not, wobbling or not, they just dont break that easy. My mother rode around for 6 months on a axel that had a tear ALL THE WAY AROUND the boot, and guess what, it never broke. It takes ALOT of wheel hop and ALOT of horsepower to break a axel, ask wcs.

You would have to put some serioius pressure to break one. Had a 95 coupe with the boot ripped all the way around.. probablly drove 20,000 miles with it like that. the car had like almost 200,000 miles on it too...
