Default 100 bux to install oil pan gasket...is that a good deal?

considering I bought the gasket from autozone and had my own oil too...all he did was the labor. I felt that's a bit much but then again, I didn't have the torque wrench.

Hell yeah that was a bad deal, you really got fucked man... sucks... you could have bought a torque wrench from sears for $65 and did it yourself and still had $35 in your pocket knowing you did it yourself, plus you would have a torque wrench for other times too

Yea, well you pay full price of the item and then some, and you get your money back when you return it. Costed me almost 50$ to rent a breaker bar and ball joint splitter.

yeah, i felt it was too expensive too...I think he jacked up his price knowing that I own a bimmer cuz last time I brought my bimmer, he only charged me 100 bucks installing a short shifter on it...3 hours worth of labor for sure on that ssk.

if you live in cali then $100 is a fair price because the labor time is 1.8 hours for that job in the bay area the labor rate is $80/hour
