Default Questions about a 97 hx...

i finally got mine yesterday and it feels way differnet than my old 97 ex... mainly a bit of less power and the stick shift feels not as tight.... is this usual? Also what exactly is an hx model, are they reliable and can I swap in a ls vtec or 99si motor if I come across it?

the HX has 115hp, i forgot the engine code D16Y5? they also have a gearbox with longer gear ratios for better fuel economy. they have the Vtec-E type of vtec. it might feel that the shifter isnt as tight because the shifter bushings might be a little worn.

Don't the HX models have some sort of continually-variable gearbox? You'd need to swap trannies, too.
