People that can't drive!!

So, I was parked in a parking lot and just as I was coming out of the store I noticed that this person was backing up out of a parking spot and getting closer and closer to my car. Next thing you know you hear tin crumpling. I go over to acess the damage that the old lady did to my trunk. The damage is moderate but still that just goes to show you how inconciderate some people are for others vehicles. The ****ed up thing about it is when I went to look at the damage the old lady had took off. So I'm left w/ paying for all the damages because I didn't get a license plate # all I got was a make and model of the vehicle. So, my question is will a trunk lid from a 4 door civic fit on a 2 door civic. (92-95)Thanks...

that sucks man, you should have gotten the license plate number before you looked at the damage. a sedan trunk will not fit on a coupe because of slightly different body lines.

she probably didn't even notice she hit your car.

She's right... ^^

Poor old lady. Not to downplay your dented car. It's just I kind of feel sorry for someone who has lost thier motor skills and whatnot.

I'm sorry it had to happen.... but don't sweat it. There are literally thousands of sedans in scrap and salvage yards out there. Just yellowpages search for salvage yards, junk yards or scrap yards in your area.

sucks..but did you try honking your horn to let them know? Or did you just watch it happen?

Yeah, you shoulda got the license number. If was an old lady looking like she's getting into the "driving incompetancy", you can report her to the DMV as a dangerous driver.

I just watched it happen. I did call the cops, asked the store clerk if he knew who she was, and report the make and model to the DMV. But so far nothing.

That sucks man. Reminds me of when my old Accord got backed into on the side and the driver didn't even realize they had hit my car (let alone lifted it a good foot in the air according to witnesses). Thank God for the witnesses (and yes, these witnesses just so happened to be Jehoveh's Witnesses)!!!
