Default Shocks/Springs on....what's that noise?

ok, i finally installed my front shocks and springs. after install, i took it out for a test drive, and i can hear a popping from the drivers side. seems like it does it most when i hit bumps. i pulled both wheels off again, but everything is tight. i can't figure out where the noise is coming from....any ideas?

springs are teins, shocks are kyb.

car is 94 civic ex coupe...

Did you check up top too to be sure that the strut is tight at the strut tower? Just go back over all the bolts to be sure they're all tight.

Hard to say without being there....

This is very common.
For me, it was a pad retainer clip that somehow got out of place durning the install. (dont ask how, it just was)
For others it can be the rear rotor guard that gets pushed out of place and hits the lower ball joint.
And of course, it can be something loose. (Check the top nut tq under the hood)

check to see if the strut is still good. make sure u put the washers in the right places. if all else fails.. take both of the front off and disassemble them and compare side by side. just to make sure u didn't miss some parts. then if everything is correct.. swap sides.. and install them. if the noise is still coming from the original left side then check for tie rods and arms.
