The help me install my p/f mirror's thread

(6th gen EX)

1st question :oh:

Where is the mirror relay box located under the dash?

zeroseven Sep 12, 2004 02:14 PM

anyone?

doesnt seem like theres a relay for the power mirrors. just the switch controls everything

USDM Cars do not come with such relay, it should have been included when you purchased your power folding mirrors. There are instructions on how to create your own relay with Radio Shack parts, for that, google it.

ebay has relay's for like $30

they're all universal... Me and my buddy used a teg relay for his Vigor power-fold jdm mirrors

did you switch out the internals to a usdm spec mirror? if not youre in for big visual suprises when you go to look out your mirrors.

i japan they drive on the right hand side. because if this the mirrors are physically different to allow the correct reflection angles. when you put these on your car even if you adjust them to their extremes you will notice that you dont get the right viewing angle. this is because the jdm mirror that mounts on the left (our drivers side) of the car is cocked more inward than the usdm version. and the other side is turned more outward. Ive heared of alot of people switching the internals over to an integra mirror or similar in order for them to have the correct angles. I dont know the specifics of doing this however.

Correct.

but you cannot simply swap over parts. There are many differences between: JDM Power Folding, USDM Powered, USDM Manual, I know the specifics, depending on what car.

The difference is in the mirror base, where it attaches to the door.
