Default Dissappearing anti-freeze

91 civic LX, 1.5
Just changed engines, changed timing belt, water pump, thermostat, all air and water hoses. Am losing about 1 cup of antifreeze per 100+ miles. Can't see any dripping from hoses, no white smoke, oil is fine, no oil in antifreeze, car runs fine, normal temp. Where is the anti-freeze going? Should I change the head gasket or wait to see if leak gets bigger?

No water in oil, oil level/color/smell has not changed in 500 miles since I changed engine.

but you could wait. It could be possible that the fluid is coming out in such a way that you can't see dripping. Look for a tiny stream of steam...

Thanks, I'll wait and see if it gets worse.

I had disappearing antifreeze. Turned out that the top and side tanks of the radiator were slow leaking. That means they only leak when you're driving and the car is heated up. Common Honda problem according to my mechanic... it happened on two of my two Honda's.

dont know if this thread is still going and dont mean to post whore but....

i'm having the same problem. I filled my radiator and overflow tank respectively this past weekend and when I checked it today, the overflow tank was bone dry and had to put some more antifreeze into the radiator

i have no clue where it is going. I dont smell anything sweet(burning antifreeze) driving down the road, oil is black as can be, and I have good compression(ruling out the head gasket). I dont see any steam after I run the car for about 30 minutes(one way to and from school).

what are considered the top and side tanks of the radiator in post above mine?? i'm thinking about upgrading to a del sol vtec radiator eventually(motor swap in the near future) but can it hold out until say this upcoming spring?
