Accord V-tec in an EG?

i just got off the phone with some guy from a garage that said he had an accord that just came in with a v-tec motor in it...he offered all the stuff to me for $1000....i'm gonna go check it out and see what kinda mileage and whatnot....but he didn't know the engine code or anything, so i was just wondering if anyone knows if an accord engine will even fit in my EG hatchie...i know that anything will fit with enough money...but is it even like dropin an H22 in it? or is it heck to make fit? thanks guys...long live HAN

I think the F series swaps are similiar to the H, so itllprolly drop in like an H, but I wouldnt advise it..

There's no point in even thinking of it. The amount of work and money itself is not cost efficient.

Swapping in an F series would be like adding the bulk and weight of a H series without all of the power....for the amount of weight you'd be adding, it probably won't even make the car any quicker. Just do yourself a favor and find a B series.

no point really, too heavy for the power output, and a lot of other things, a B18B1 has similar output and is less money too, and the GSR - B18C1 isn't far from that in price.

Further, $1000 for a F series motor is VERY high...unless it just came out of a 2003-2004 model :).

It would be great to see a civic hatch with a blanace shaft. I haven't seen one.

Don't try it. Not a good fit. It would be just as easy to transplant a Mitsubishi 4g63 into a civic, but 5x as rewarding to use the Mitsubishi. Go find a B18C?-series engine.

Is it perhaps a JDM H23 VTEC? 'Cause for $1000, that'd be pretty cool.
